    Web Smart Switch, 48-Port 10/100/1000 + 4 Combo SFP

  • D-Link Web Smart Switch, 48-Port 10/100/1000 + 4 Combo SFP :

The Web Smart DGS-1248T blends plug & play simplicity with exceptional performance and feature sets. With forty-eight 10/100/1000BASE-T ports and four combo SFP expansion slots, the DGS-1248T is designed to help provide a simple and economical migration path from 10BASE-T or 100BASE-TX to 1000BASE-T Gigabit. With 96Gbps in aggregated bandwidth, the DGS-1248T is the ideal solution as a line aggregator for server farms or bandwidth-starved workgroups requiring basic network management functions for today’s diverse multimedia requirements.

Operational Simplicity with Web Smart Features
    Management
Managing the DGS-1248T is easy. Using its built in browser-based management interface, configuring the DGS-1248T takes only minutes. With full color graphic pictures, diagrams and easy to understand navigation menus, configuring the DGS-1248T with the features you require is as easy as surfing the net. The DGS-1248T supports many of today’s most sought after features like: priority queing, 802.1Q VLANs, port trunking, port status monitoring, port mirroring, and many others.

    Auto-Discovery
The guess work is over. Every DGS-1248T also comes with auto-discovery software that automatically detects and displays up to 254 D-Link Web Smart switches running on your network.

    Automatic Port configuration
The DGS-1248T is truly plug-and-play. All RJ-45 ports support auto MDI/MDIX, so there is no longer a need to use cross-over cables or an up-link port. The auto-MDI/MDIX feature will automatically detect whether the switch is connected to another switch or an end-station device and configure the port accordingly. If the DGS-1248T detects a switch connected to one of its ports, it will automatically configure that port to act as an uplink. If the DGS-1248T detects a computer or end station device, the port auto-configures to a standard port. The confusion over cross-over cabling is a thing of the past.

    Investment Protection
The DGS-1248T helps to protect customers’ existing and future network infrastructure investments by providing optional gigabit fiber uplinks. With 4 SFP ports, the DGS-1248T can be connected to a distant network or backbone up to 80Km away (SFP transceivers sold separately). The DGS-1248T is the best choice for future proofing your network and is a worthy investment.
