Data-sheet quality: created/standardized by Icecat
The quality of the product data-sheet can be on several levels:
only logistic data imported: we have only basic data imported from a supplier, a data-sheet is not yet created by an editor.

Colour scanning *
Indicates whether this product scans in colour.
Film scanning *
Device made for scanning photographic film directly into a computer without the use of any intermediate printmaking. It provides several benefits over using a flatbed scanner to scan in a print of any size: the photographer has direct control over cropping and aspect ratio from the original, unmolested image on film; and many film scanners have special software or hardware that removes scratches and film grain and improves color reproduction from film.
Input colour depth
Colour depth of the input into the product. The colour depth is either the number of bits used to indicate the color of a single pixel, in a bitmapped image or video frame buffer, or the number of bits used for each color component of a single pixel. High-end laptops have 24-bit colour depth.

Scan resolution enhanced disclaimer (long)
What is the maximum resolution at which I can scan? HP Scanjet scanning systems will allow you to specify a resolution of up to 999,999 enhanced dpi. In addition, by using lower dpi and high-scale factors (enlarging the image using dimension or resize tool), you can achieve a very high enhanced dpi. However, it is important to note that the maximum resolution that can be actually achieved depends upon various factors, including computer speed, available disk space, memory, the size of the image being scanned, and bit depth settings. Thus, depending on your system and what you are scanning, you may not be able to scan at certain resolutions. For example, using the same image and same dpi, scanning in 24-bit color requires at least 24 times more memory (in the form of hard disk space and available memory) than scanning in 1-bit black and white. In addition, the size of the area being scanned is very important. For example, scanning a 4 x 6 inch photograph at 99,999 enhanced dpi and 24-bit color requires over 64 terabytes of disk space; thus, if your computer has a 50 gigabyte hard disk, which would be quite large, such a scan would require over 1,000 disks. Even a 1/10th-inch square area, scanned at 999,999 enhanced dpi as a 1-bit black-and-white image (not 24-bit color), creates an uncompressed file of over 9 gigabytes.
Scan resolution enhanced disclaimer (short)
The maximum dpi at which you can scan is limited by available computer memory, disk space, and other system factors.
